CREMARE Project Open Call for Institutions

The Open Call for Cultural Institutions for the CREAMARE project is officially open.


The Open Call for Cultural Institutions for the project CREAMARE, Linking creativity, culture and media technologies in the transnational co-production of digital interactive products for the communication of maritime and underwater cultural heritage, is officially open.

Financed by Creative Europe and coordinated by 3D Research, CREAMARE aims to create a new international and multidisciplinary cooperation model to develop interactive and multimedia products for the conservation of Underwater Cultural Heritage.

The preservation of the marine environment and all its inhabitants is a topic that should be highlighted by promoting dialogue between cultural and creative institutions, research entities, artists, and freelancers. The common purpose should be to raise public awareness of marine protection through communication and dissemination campaigns on all issues affecting ocean health, such as pollution and unsustainable fishing practices.

For the implementation of this project, 3D Research’s team, led by Fabio Bruno and Marco Cozza, collaborates with several partners in Europe, such as Atlantis Consulting and Pragma IOT (Greece), Novena d.o.o. (Croatia), the National Superintendence for Underwater Cultural Heritage (Italy), Pro Progressione (Hungary), and Universidad de Cádiz (Spain).

Cultural Institutions and Organizations selected by the call will be able to promote their territory by providing a 3D model of one of their relevant historical or naturalistic sites. These sites will become the eight archaeological locations that the player can explore in the CREAMARE serious game. Selected candidates will also have the opportunity to benefit from training courses on digital technologies, ocean conservation, and sustainable activities.

The open call runs until 15th April 2023.
