The International Exhibition and Festival of Digital Technological Innovation 'Digital, AI and Tech - We Make Future', held in Bologna from 13 to 15 June, has come to a successful close.

Once again, the Region of Calabria was the protagonist of a unique experience, represented by the Province of Crotone in terms of tourism and territorial promotion. Among the main attractions presented were Pèlagos - Museo del Mare - and the wonders of the Area Marina Protetta Capo Rizzuto.

3D Research created an exciting reconstruction of part of the seabed of the marine reserve. At the 'Calabria Straordinaria' stand, over 3,500 visitors had the chance to live a virtual underwater experience, 'moving' in total freedom and 360° inside the marine environment, thanks to 3DR's visors.

The areas selected for this virtual journey included landmarks such as Capo Donato, Capo Colonna, Capo Cimiti, Capo Rizzuto and Le Castella.

Participants were able to explore the deep sea and visit significant wrecks such as the Roman ship with marble blocks at Punta Scifo, the submerged columns at Capo Cimiti, the Gunny wreck between Pizzo Greco and Capo Bianco, the Chico Bengala wreck near the Secce di Capo Rizzuto and the Carboniera wreck near Capo Piccolo.

The event was attended by Sergio Ferrari, President of the Province, Raffaele Gareri, Councillor for the Capo Rizzuto Marine Reserve, and Mario Megna, Councillor for Territorial Development. Also present were Arturo Crugliano Pantisano, head of the Marine Protected Area sector, and three members of the Authority's staff, who coordinated the activities at the stand and welcomed the many visitors who wanted to experience the 3D adventure.

The Province's stand, located in Hall 29, was a great success during BolognaFiere. Many young people were excited to experience a unique opportunity thanks to this "virtual journey" to the seabed. President Sergio Ferrari declared: "It was an extraordinary experience, with three days of enthusiastic participation by young people at the Marine Protected Area stand.
